PRESS RELEASE INVITATION / ART EXHIBITION |
| PRESS, MEDIA & PRIVATE COLLECTORS Saturday 6.30 p.m. till late, January 27th 2007
The work displayed for "Abstract Distractions" started a few months ago with this quote from the French novelist Guy de Maupassant: "In everything, there are some unexplored areas, because we are used to focusing our eyes only with the memory of what one sees immediately in front of us vis-a-vis what we are contemplating. The smallest thing contains a bit of unknown. Let’s find it." All photographs exhibited in this exhibition were taken in Juliette de Salle’s home, or a few yards from where she lives. Indeed, any subject can be turned into art. Juliette’s photographs are driven by a powerful sense of aesthetics tending to abstraction. Yet, they manage to capture the unrevealed as well as the fragility of what we see before our eyes for that instant in time just before we go on our way, or just before the object fades away. Paul de Blieck is an up and coming abstract artist. His compositions reveal much imagination with explosions of colour that draws the viewer to focus their attention on his exciting pieces of work. He paints whatever comes out of his heart. Exhibition open to the public: |
