" INSPIRATION FROM MY FRIEND’S SPIRIT " by Narong Wannasa Narong Wannasa, born 1984 in Kalasin Province, Thailand. He grew up in the countryside, and has been inspired by many things that he has seen in his childhood, and continuously develops these ideas into his art works.
His Chinese friends would say, "all the things that surround us are composed of different shapes and forms, no matter whether they are human, animal, object, or even from nature. Everything has its own value, its own charm, and its own uniqueness. The point is that it depends on what we perceive it to be in our work." It is at this point where Wannasa starts to search for his own focal point in his work. What he looks for is something close to his life, something simple, but meaningful and precious within its natural shape. That something is "a buffalo". He has seen it since he was born. This interpretation could mean that the buffalo has become one of his friends, and so, it is not surprising to know that every time he begins a piece of work, Wannasa will "think of his home". In this second solo exhibition, "Inspiration From My Friend’s Spirit", he shows his imaginative and shape forming skills, creating art works reaching out beyond simple imagination. Each piece of work reveals its own beauty and uniqueness that must be seen… Exhibition open to the public: | ||
