Victoire Meyer
Biography

Victoire Meyer was born in 1945 in Geneva, Switzerland.

Victoire Meyer is a painter and a teacher in Geneva. She graduated from the School of Decorative Arts (Ecole des Arts Décoratifs), majoring in enamels and winning the Etienne-Dufour prize. She has also been 3 times selected for the "Montre & Bijoux" Exhibition, Musée de Rath, Geneva.

Victoire started her career by making enamels, and worked for famous watchmakers such as Piaget and Baume & Mercier. She also worked for jewellery designers and did some restoration work for Fabergé.

However, these activities did not leave much room for creativity, so she turned to painting; figurative at first, then abstract. Victoire Meyer creates colourful paintings that convey the positive and emotional message of her imaginary world. She expresses herself through painting numbers and letters using mainly the three primary colours: red, yellow and cobalt.

Her first exhibition took place in Geneva in 1997. Since then, she has exhibited in France (Provence), but mainly in Switzerland.
