Biography

Born 1982 in Laos Studied at the ADAC school in Paris Single & Group Exhibitions in Pattaya, Phuket, Bangkok and Paris About the Artist Chaiyo became a Buddhist monk at the age of 13 for 4 years where he was encouraged to draw figures of Buddha, and other spiritual scenes. He since came to Thailand, and studied with some well established painters in Bangkok. ASTRA ZENECA, Paris recently commissioned Chaiyo for a watercolour painting to hang in their Paris head office. Artist’s Statement Art makes me happy - I research, I look, I observe and I express my feelings everyday in my work. I love to refine my portraits with details only possible with watercolour. Freedom of expression is fabulous!
